Water Your Flower In Go Flower Grow
See how well you can cultivate flowers in Go Flower Grow
This is a very cute game to play. I like the use of plantation in flash computer games because it is like complete opposites coming together. You have the materialism and mental stimulation of the computer on the one hand, with the total naturalism and physical stimulation of the flowers on the other. It really is a great lesson for life, to try and combine the two.
How to play Go Flower Grow
But back to the game. As the title suggests, the player (you) in Go Flower Grow has to try and get their flower to grow as high as possible, just like they might do in a real garden. This is done in the same way that flowers grow in the real world: by watering them! The more you water your flowers in this game, the higher they will grow - right up into the sky in fact! And the way you water the flowers in this game is by dragging the watering can to the middle of the flower; the can disappears and the flower grows. The flowers don't actually move from where they are on the screen in the game; they can only grow taller. Watering cans, on the other hand, can move. They are initially in the corner of the screen but if you drag them you can drop them to your flower to water it and make it grow. So it really is a cool game to play.
The graphics in Go Flower Grow are a lot of fun. It is a nice way to hang out using the computer while feeling that you are actually getting out in to nature a bit. Of course you are not really getting out in to nature, but that is the joy of these cool flash games with realistic graphics - on some level, you can create any kind of atmosphere that you want!

Enjoy Maze Fun With Blockout
Challenge your mobility with Blockout
Blockout - the game of blocks - while it initially appears like a very easy game to play, actually requires quite a lot of forethought. This is a good thing though since it gives the game a bit of an edge. What I mean by that is that Blockout is not just your standard game of moving around a maze. This game requires the player to have the ability to be able to move themselves (the brown block) in and around the grid. It should be noted that this is not as easy as moving around other mazes.
How Blockout works
Okay, so here is what happens in Blockout. There are 3 different colored blocks: brown (which is you, the player); blue which indicates the end of the level (in other words, you have to aim to get to where the blue block is - that is the way out in each level) and then grey blocks (most of the blocks you will see are grey; they are the ones that form the blocks in the wall) which you have to move yourself around. This game has 50 levels. Each level gets harder. You use your arrow keys to move around and you have a certain amount of time on each level to accomplish this (less time as each level progresses).
How Blockout worked for me
Okay, so initially I really didn't know what I was doing in Blockout. That means that I had a hard time maneuvering myself (the brown block) around the screen. (You don't get much help with that from the rules on this game). But after some time of trying, I did get over that hurdle and then it all became much easier, and much more fun too. For sure the more I played the game, the better I did and thus the more confident I became. The time restrictions on each level definitely made it more exciting and made me want to play the game more, but hey, what's wrong with that?

Smash the city real good in City Smasher
Have fun smashing up a city in this cool, graphically rich game
To be honest, it is not like it has been one of my lifelong dreams to smash up a city. But I can imagine that for some people it has. Nonetheless, even though it has not been a dream of mine, the idea behind City Smasher looked fun enough so I decided to give this cool flash game a try. What most impressed me (and still does) about City Smasher were the graphics and sounds. You are the guy walking along the city and you get a big hammer. You stop a little bit before a building (it takes a bit of practice to work out just how near or far to the building you should be) and then you take your hammer, swing it back (the computer does this for you) and whack the building. Depending on how big the building is will determine how many attempts it will take you to smash it. This also depends on how accurately situated towards the building you are - in other words, if you are too far away then you will not get an accurate smashing in and thus breaking it down will take longer.
Go nuts in all your surroundings in City Smasher
But it is not just buildings that you get to knock down in City Smasher. You can smash up airplanes in the sky and moving cars too. So it is an all encompassing event. As well, you are using all different methods to do this: you smash, kick, attack with fire, jump and more. (Different keys on the computer make different commands). So there really is a lot going on in this game.
What I especially enjoyed about City Smasher is that it is a pretty easy game to play right from the start. For example, for my very first game I made a staggering 5690 points! So it is not like one of the games that requires non-stop practice. The down side of the game is that instructions are not all that clear so it can be a case of trial and error. But this is not such a bad thing given that it really is a very easy game to play, as can be seen by my large initial score.

The Fight Is On In Pumpkin Battle
I had never really thought of myself as a pumpkin! Even though I am a pretty staunch fan of Halloween and my husband loves to make pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving, I had never gotten to the stage where I had personified the pumpkin as it were. But that is exactly what Pumpkin Battle is all about. The game starts with the pumpkin just hanging out and doing what pumpkins do - growing in the field with all the other pumpkins which does not require much brain power. But you know also that the only reason you have been created at all is to be someone's jack-o-lantern for Halloween - not such a great thought as your lifespan is thus pretty small. But that wouldn't be so bad if all the pumpkins with you in the field had the same outlook on life of being in it together.
Watch Out for the Mean Pumpkin
Well, in Pumpkin Battle there is one pumpkin who is really mean. This pumpkin is a peril to all the other pumpkins. And that is where your role comes in. You are faced with a few choices. You can either: flee, try and make magic, roll the pumpkin or select items. You do not know what the outcome will be from any of these options and each time you choose them something else happens. I think that is what I like most about the game.
Get Into The Halloween Spirit
The other thing I really like about the game is the fact that it reminds me of one of my favorite holidays of the year - Halloween - and it proves that thanks to cool flash games, you can bring create the cheer of holidays in to your life any time of day or night, especially with such amazing graphics like those found in Pumpkin Battle.

Be The Best Fireman Ever
How to Succeed in Fireman
In the cool flash game Fireman, your task is to get really good at the job of a fireman, in virtual city. So what you have to do is try and develop the longest hose possible (that will be a great tool for a fireman in a fire situation). But you have to act fast. That is the whole challenge of the game. When you get really good at the game (I'm not at that point yet) you may even finish the hose before your time runs out and in this situation you can press the hydrant and let the water run. But again, what you want to be focusing on achieving is creating the longest hose possible as the longer the hose by the end of the game, the higher your score will be.
Watch the Clock
Remember that time is of the essence in Fireman. There is a clock on the right hand side of the screen. I found that I did better when I turned the sound off as the sound of the clock going put me under too much pressure. I also found it helpful to press "Pause" here and there in the game as that gave me the opportunity to think about my next move and to focus and what would be best for me to do next. And then I thought to myself, goodness, if this is pressure, what kind of pressure must REAL firemen feel? And I was pretty glad that I have my job behind a desk.
