Boggle Your Eyes With Rat Maze 2

Feeling Skilled? Try Rat Maze 2

I am not even sure why I decided to check out this free flash game Rat Maze 2. I mean, it was not like I had ever been any good at REAL mazes, so who knows what I was thinking when I thought I would have any chance with a virtual version? But still, the graphics looked good (and they really are) and I liked the sounds too. Mind you I am not sure that the rat in Rat Maze 2 looks much like a rat. It looks more like a computerized impression of what a rat might look like to a pixel creator! Still, the different scenes that the rat (you) has to go through are kind of fun. But to anyone looking for an easy to win game, Rat Maze 2 is definitely not the game you want to be playing. I am still not sure (having played this game at least 12 times), how to progress all that far.

Make More Points With Rat Maze 2

The only thing that I have improved on, is picking up extra points. You do that just by mouse control ? (not rat control, hah! Excuse the pun) ? by moving the rat around the board and finding different objects (food I guess) to eat. Each time you do that successfully you get another 100 points. Indeed, the first games I played I only got about 300 points so when I got 1500 points and I was asked to enter my name on to the high score board I thought I had really gotten somewhere. Then I saw that my name would not be seen as the lowest score, at place no. 50 on the board, was 7100!!! So clearly I need a lot more practice at Rat Maze 2 to get anywhere. I suppose it would be nice if I could also find some tips on how to actually make my way out of the maze, given that getting out is what one is supposed to try and ultimately achieve with a maze! But, one step at a time. Right now I am just working on improving my score. Like I said, I have never been one for being good at mazes (or with any real sense of direction) so it is best for me to just focus on the skills I do have.

A Free Slots Tournament with Real Cash Prizes

I just heard about a free slots tournament with real cash prizes. It sounds too good to be true, but it's really real. It costs nothing to enter the tournament, but you can still win real money prizes, up to the $50,000 first prize. All the details are at the All Jackpots Casino website.

Cat and Bat Make Blood On Wall!

Whether you have always had an affinity for kitty cats or hated the of their meow and the look of their tale, you will just love Cat-Bat because it is based on either beating them to death or saving them. You have been asked by the King of the castle to get rid of the unwanted cats, but how you do it and what ultimately happens to them (dead or alive) is your choice. All the cats are bothersome to the king and his castle so you have been given a baseball bat with which to encourage the cats to climb over the wall to their freedom. You probably do not want to hurt the cats as they travel to freedom, but the graphics and sound of their blood splatting on the way is sometimes a bit too tempting for non cat lovers! Nonetheless, since this would be against the wishes of the king you would lose the game if they die so you will probably instead want to keep the cats in the air.

Remember: the more cats you keep in the air at once (3 is amazing) the more points you get, but it is not easy. You do not want the cats to go too high (they could die) or too low (they will not get over the wall to safety) so the choice is yours of how you want to deal with it. The cats are moving non stop on the ground just to confuse the situation even more and it is not easy to get the cats on the wall high enough to go over without them bleeding to death. But the more you practice, the better you will do and soon enough you could have 3 cats in the air, getting a ton of points!

Daily Jigsaw

The Daily Jigsaw game is a great game to play if you like to improve on your skills on a regular basis. With a choice of different difficulty levels, from 104, 150, 228 or 400 pieces, each day you can see where your level is so that you can see how well you are progressing. I found it best to start with 104 pieces first. I was always pretty good at jigsaws growing up, but playing on line through flash shockwave software with the Daily Jigsaw made it so much more exciting than I had ever remembered it in the past. You can mix up the puzzle in the middle if you get a bit stuck putting the pieces on one side, to a corner, or throughout the entire space available. If you get really stuck and frustrated, you can press the Solve icon which arranges all the pieces as they should be for you (that way you can see how it is meant to look so that the next time you try to solve it yourself, you know what vision you are trying to create). But the Preview feature also gives you this (showing you a picture of the puzzle complete). For a bit more help (without pressing Solve), I often use Edges which shows me the edge pieces and helps out a little. And you can rotate too which rotates the pieces you have not yet put in the right place (and then turn them around again for the game, but it can help to see the pieces from a different angle).

If you want to move around more than one piece at a time, click on the Move icon but remember that while moving the pieces you cannot connect other pieces; nor can you move the pieces which have been set in place already. You can pause the timer too if you feel you need more time so there are a lot more options when playing Daily Puzzle on line than there were in my day playing on the floor! The game is also a great way for newcomers to computers to develop mouse control.

Beat Tourists With "Sunburn"

Have you really looked forward to your vacation filled with sun, sea and sand, only to arrive and be completely put off by a ton of tourists who were thinking exactly the same thing? Have you ever just looked at them all, wishing desperately that something would come and force them off the beach, so that you could enjoy the peace and tranquility you craved back home for so many months as you were planning your vacation? Well, put your fantasy in to reality as you control the sun in Sunburn. You are the sun on the beach! You are the one burning all those irritating tourists so that they all have to run as far from the beach as possible, leaving you to enjoy the sun, sea and sand you craved.

With Sunburn flash game there is no downloading involved so you just have to click and play, wasting no time. You use the up and down arrows to avoid the cloud (you do not want the cloud to knock you out of the game and bring all those irritating tourists back) and the left and right arrow keys to zap as many tourists with your powerful rays as possible. Watch out for the clouds though as they could block your beam, knocking you out of the game and enabling those irritating hordes of tourists to come back and ruin your vacation even in virtual cyberspace!

No experience is needed for this game. Sunburn is a fun game to play but can be over pretty quickly if you run out of luck, or you do not manage to control the arrows well enough to stop the cloud from blocking you! The more you play Sunburn though, the better you will get at it.

Go Racing Online With Formula Fog

It's not like it would be fair of anyone to say I was the WORST driver in the world, but I certainly wasn't the best. I think my biggest problem with driving was not the technique or know how per se, but the confidence. So when my boyfriend told me about the racing game on line Formula Fog, I looked at him like he was a bit mad. "I don't really think that will be up my street now do you?" I retorted. But he was insistent. At least that I try it. "Come on," he said, "you can play it for free and it's one of the cool flash games using the fast and furious software. I think you'll like it." Pretty much to pacify him, I tried it. And I haven't looked back since.

Formula Fog is a fast, fun 3D animated flash game in which you have to race against another car. You can be either the red or blue car. And because you're not really on the road, it's not scary. And because it's not scary, for me I get more confidence. And the more confidence I get with Formula Fog, the more confident I actually feel when I go out driving. It's not like I race now when I go out driving, but I do feel better able to control the car more and hence I feel more confident. Interestingly the more I play Formula Fog (even when I don't win), the less I worry about taking the car out.

I have to admit that Formula Fog wasn't so easy at first. I kept careering off the road! So I played it without the sound so I could concentrate more. But the more accustomed I got to this racing game, the better I could control the car and the more exciting it got and then I loved the music and went faster and faster around the laps. What I basically came to realize was, that my movements had to be far more gradual. I had to make sure that I wasn't pushing too much to the right or the left and then I stayed on track much more easily. And then i was able to go really fast and really race the other car and boy did I enjoy it!

Improve Mouse Control With Twiddle Stix

Everyone Can Enjoy Twiddle Stix

Twiddle Stix is the kind of game that all the family can enjoy. it is a cute concept. With Twiddle Stix you are the stick that is in the water. Perhaps the game emerged out of the concept of Poohsticks or something because it sure did remind me of the days of old when I was a kid and played Poohsticks with my family. You know, the game in which you each take a stick (usually a broken tree branch), throw it on one side of the river and then watch to see it come through to the other side. Well, with Twiddle Stix, you have a stick (also that looks like a broken tree branch) and you have to try and move it through the river, using your up, down, right and left cursor keys. The only problem is, there are so many blocks, and the stick rotates so fast on its own, that it is pretty difficult to try and get it through the narrow spots.

Be Patient With Twiddle Stix

But the game is very much about learning and developing patience. I found that the more I waited in place when I found myself (the stick!) in a potential bind, the better off I was. I only ran into trouble and got knocked out of a level when I was in too much of a rush. Given this lesson, I found that I also - at the same time - learned something important for life. Sometimes one needs to really move, full steam ahead, in life. But at other times, it is just as important to sit back and wait. Let other things move along so that you can just sit back and smell the coffee. And when you do that, everything will fall in place and your time will come, eventually, at just the right moment in the grander scheme of things.

Bloomin' Gardens

Sort Out Your Garden Here

If you have ever enjoyed a spot of gardening, or seen yourself as the green fingered sort, or just enjoy fun puzzle games using great flash software, you will love Bloomin' Gardens.  In the game, you will find a whole load of plants growing. The objective of Bloomin' Gardens is to pick them, but you have to do this pretty quickly otherwise you will run out of space and that is frowned upon in this game. the way you do that is by lining them up in groups of 5 (or more; the more the better and you will be rewarded more points for more too).

To move the plants you click them, move them to where you want them and click again to release them to their new homes.  But remember to always ensure that there is a clear path in the garden.  If the garden gets overgrown, you lose!

Not As Easy as it Looks!

What makes Bloomin' Gardens so frustrating (but equally entertaining as you get more and more determined each time you play to win!) is that you have no idea initially where the problem areas are.  For example, when I first played, I kept trying to move plants into areas where it was not allowed.  I saw it say "No Clear Path" and then I was stuck.  So you have far few areas than you think to move things around.  So there is a sort of strategy that has to be developed with Bloomin' Gardens.  And the more you play it, the easier it becomes.  But it is still no pushover!

Don't Let The Egg Smash In Egg Way

Egg Way is a fun game to play and graphically very rich and clear. What happens is, there are a lot of levels and you have to win them all to move up to a further level. So you get an egg and you get a pan. And the aim of Egg Way is to click on the egg to break it open but as soon as you have done that, you get a pencil. With the pencil you must draw around the egg (not leaving any part of the egg out of your drawing) and then guide it over to the pan. What you will probably find happens initially (level one I was successful with pretty early on but it took me ages to gain control of level two and thus move forward) is that you are just ALMOST getting it, but not quite enough. So with Egg Way, rather than the game being just a test of your speed skills, it is also a test of your accuracy skills. You have to draw around the egg not just as fast as possible, but also as carefully as possible. Because if you just quickly try and contain the egg in your drawing, you will likely do so with less accuracy and then that will not give you success in guiding it in safely into the pan. It is pretty cool when the egg smashes (i.e. you are not successful), from a graphic point of view. You see the yolk splurge out like you would if you inadvertently smash an egg in the kitchen!

Get Back to Basics With Tic Tac Toe

True, true, it might be an old game that has been around longer than your great grandma, but Tic Tac Toe is indeed a classic game that will never get boring, especially if you get to play it on line using super cool flash software like I found recently. In this version you are able to choose the Easy or Hard mode (I always start with Easy, given the option) and you are playing against the computer. You are the Cross. I actually won the first time I played so that cheered me up and then after a ton of sessions which had me winning or a tie between me and the computer (but usually me winning) I felt confident enough to progress to the Hard mode.

The first time I tried the Hard level it was a tie, so that gave me confidence too. the second and third time I tried, I won, so I was really raking in the confidence but then the computer beat me a few times and then it seemed to be random and quite equal; sometimes I would win; other times the computer and then there would be ties. But each time I played Tic Tac Toe I enjoyed the game and especially the speed in which it could be played thanks to the cool flash software used.

While Tic Tac Toe is nothing really special playing through flash software, what I do like a lot is how fast the game moves. As soon as you have selected your spot for your Cross, the computer is right there behind you (no thinking required, unlike when you play off line with a person, the game can be delayed for ages as you have to wait for their brain to work!).

Go Fast With Cube Buster

I had absolutely no idea that you had to be so fast with this game of Cube Buster!!! I mean I had played fast flash games before, but this one REALLY required mega speed. Cube Buster really moves quickly and is quite scary in that way (well, not scary as such, but you know what I mean; it certainly gets you biting those nails if you are a nail biting type of person). So here is what you must remember at all times before and during the time you engage in Cube Buster. What happens is, is that you are faced with a large grid with small different colored cubes on it (red, green, silver) and then at the bottom of the grid is another line which fills up with these same colored cubes VERY very fast (almost too fast for you to work out what is going on). And what you have to do is click on one of those colors that matches up to the same color on the last line of the grid, but you have to do it as soon as it appears otherwise you miss your (very small, very fast) window of opportunity and thus you here "eek" from the computer telling you, pretty much, that you failed. Most of the time I play this game I actually got nothing (no points!) but I did find that the more I tried it (despite how incredibly frustrating it got at times) the (slightly) better I became at it.

Get Smiley With 12 Swap

This is a very cute game and I do like the smiley faces. Players are presented with a grid of different colored smiley faces. What you have to do is move them around (one at a time) so that there are three in a row of the same color. To do that you just click on it and thereafter click on another one (that you want the original one to swap places with) and that one has to be to the left, right, below or above it and then those 2 faces will change colors.

I initially misunderstood slightly as I thought that I could move a smiley face as a first move to get a row of 3, but the game will only allow you to move a smiley face if it anticipates that by doing so you will create that row of 3 in that one move. It is not such a difficult game, but what can be quite challenging is that sometimes the colors look very similar (such as the red and orange; the green and blue) and the board is quite small (although there is a way to make it larger on a lot of computers) but these two factors probably render it tougher. Oh and the fact that as soon as you start moving the smiley faces, well, they just start smiling so that can add to the confusion.

You have two play mode options: either to play until your time runs out, or to play until you run out of moves and I always choose the latter option. Obviously the higher up you get in terms of levels, the harder (and more exciting) it gets.

Go For Blob Wars, Alone or With Buddies

Blob Wars is a great game to play, both whether you are alone and bored, or alone with a friend and bored. You have the option also of playing one game; best of three or best of five. I actually prefer to play Blob Wars alone primarily as I think all my friends are just way too competitive (but there again I guess they would say the same about me). Anyway Blob Wars is a lot of fun and you have to try and make everyone in to YOUR blobs (so they are on your side). You do this by putting a blob into an empty space or jumping into an open space up to one square away. You conduct both these moves with a mouse click. This highlights your blob and you must click on a highlighted spot to complete the move. Once you have made the move the blob becomes yours. The player with the most blobs at the end of the game, wins.

The music is pretty nail biting in Blob Wars. It sounds like you are setting up for battle. It goes quite quickly too and you have to be pretty much on your toes so that you don't get sapped to the other side (like I did A LOT in my first few games). As well as trying to get the opponents on your side, you have to try and not get taken to their side to Blob Wars is very much a game of defense and offense. Blob Wars takes a bit of practice to master the main ideas, but once you have done that, you can do pretty well really.

Play Flash Ping Pong for Great Fun!

The reason I originally chose to play flash games was because I just did not have the energy or inclination to start spending a ton of time downloading my favorite games from the Internet. But what I didn't imagine or expect was how great they could be. Because there are so many different flash games to play (a lot of which are free) I play a ton and thus go through phases of which my favorite ones are. Currently, I love to play ping pong flash game. I used to play ping pong with my brother when I was growing up so I understood the basic concept. But I tell you something...when I play ping pong in a flash environment it's WAY more exciting and I think I'm better skilled at it. Not only that but I'm sure that if I go out to play real live ping pong, because of my experience with flash ping pong gaming, I think I'll be really good at it.

It's a free game to play and the aim of the game is to bounce the ball as many times as possible. The more you get in to bouncing the ball without it dropping on the virtual floor, the more you begin to understand the whole concept of keeping a ball in the air - hence the reason I am sure I will be really good at playing real live ping pong. And of course with this ping pong flash game there is no downloading time (even though the size of the game is 353 kb) so I'm playing straight away without wasting any time. The mouse controls the ball so playing ping pong is also good for general computer skills as you learn to better control the mouse. It really is a great way of getting in to computer games as a general rule, especially since it's free!

Get Real Excitement from Bubbleshooter

There are very few things my husband and I come to blows on. And even with this cool and exciting flash game of bubbleshooter we are not exactly coming to blows! But when we vacation to a spa for 2 days and take only one laptop with us, we do tend to argue over who's going to play bubbleshooter first! It's just such a fun game! There are 6 different colored balls on a screen, filing three quarters of the screen (light blue; dark blue; yellow; green; red and fuscia pink). At the bottom of the screen are two colored balls - one that is going to come out immediately and the other one behind it that will come out afterwards. The goal of the game is to aim the first ball to the screen filled with balls, but to aim it to at least 2 of the same colors of these balls so that you knock them out. If you knock them out more balls do not fall down; if you fail, extra balls come down and you lose if too many balls come to the end of the screen.

What I've been learning in bubbleshooter recently as I've been developing my bubbleshooting skills, is that a good strategy is NOT to focus on the first ball but the second ball. If for example there are two options for the first ball (i.e. your first ball is red and there are two or more places where there is a clutter of red balls) then go for the red balls that will give you access to the next color that you are going to have to try knocking out.

My husband and I both find that the game is very unforgiving of 2 mistakes. And it is very unforgiving once you have knocked out one color on expert level (there are four levels with two ways of play: sniper and classic) then it gets really tough and the balls come down really fast. But that is what makes the game so exciting. You feel like you just HAVE to knock out another color. And the more colors you knock out, the faster the balls come down so you have to be really fast and clever. It's frustrating but in a fun way and we love it. Somehow it always adds to the enjoyment of our vacation!

While Away Time With THESE Cool Flash Games

Sometimes you just have to take a bit of time out. Not because things are difficult or anything, but just because you need to do something a bit different. My husband had been a semi-professional pool player for years - way before I had ever met him - and I guess because he was really good now, he just wasn't at all interested in showing me how to play. In fact it was his long-term pool partner who had taught me my first (and indeed until I discovered the flash game 3D pool) and only move in pool. Well, now that I was able to play on line, without even having to wait a moment to download the game (that's the beauty of flash games), I felt like I was actually managing to develop a skill in the game.

Within seconds of clicking on 3D pool, you can see your pool stick and aim it against the white ball (you can tell by my lingo that I know nothing of this game at all, right?). You get a small round diagram at the top of the board to show you how your pool stick is lined up, to help you organize your move. I have to tell you, it took me a while to get anywhere at all in this game initially, but once I did, I found that I was developing a skill that I had never managed to achieve when I played the game off line. And then when I next went to our pool table downstairs, my husband was most impressed that I was able to actually get somewhere in a real live game too! It will indeed take me some time to get to any kind of level so as to play the game against him, but I sure am a whole lot better than I was a few months ago! 3D pool is a great way of wasting time in a positive way.

Thunderstruck Flash Jolts You!

Thunderstruck Flash was the best game I have ever played.  I was using a different game by Microgaming when he had noticed the thunderbolt in the middle of the screen.  It said, "Play Thunderstruck Flash And Get a Jolt!"  Well, I thought that sounded like an exciting and enticing game, so I decided to give it a try.  Boy, I was happy that I had.  Thunderstruck Flash was so much fun that I couldn't let go.

Thunderstruck was exciting, full of music and great graphics, and bound to give out nice winnings.  These were the things that I love about Thunderstruck Flash.  The flash component always made the games more exciting and vibrant, and I try to play flash games whenever I can.  Now Thunderstruck - the Flash slot game - offers a great chance to play and enjoy.  This was just the type of game that I have been looking for and now it is right there for any computer.  I figured this blog would be a great way to spread the word about this fun game.

Play Fun Flash Games from your PC

Actually, I think the greatest place to play games is in Dave and Buster’s. They have the coolest games around. They also have good food and drinks, but the bets part is the virtual reality games they have. It’s just like playing in the real world, only better! They have games galore and lots of awesome stuff to do. Once we had an office party there, and one time they fixed up a great deal for my friend’s birthday. And while you are playing all their fun games, you can meet a lot of really neat people. Another great place for games is on the internet. Although the interaction isn’t there, you have the convenience of being able to play from any computer. And the new games are much more sophisticated than the old Solitaire that comes with your Windows. They have action games, silly cartoon games, casino games. You can find just about anything to play these days.

Romance at the Fun Flash Games

Paris and the Fun Flash Games
I travelled to Paris with my boyfriend on a romantic getaway trip. Although I was very much looking forward to the vacation, I had no desire to leave the Fun flash Games behind me. I had a simple solution for this challenge. I decided to take with me my lap top computer and then I would surely be able to enter the Fun flash Games from anywhere that I could access the Internet. This proved to be good idea - one that I am sure that my boyfriend would also agree with.

Enjoying the Fun Flash Games in Paris
I loved Paris. I felt that it was such a romantic city. We toured the city during the day and sat at cafes - ordering coffee and croissants. I enjoyed just sitting there soaking in the the atmosphere. In the evenings, we usually went out for dinner, although on the odd occasion, we ate at our hotel. We were on vacation and we could do what we liked. When we felt like some action, we accessed the Fun flash Games. It was simple to access - and looked just the same as it does from home! I cannot explain why, but somehow playing games at the Fun flash Games in Paris, had a romantic feel to it!
